Because she suffers from lumbar spinal stenosis and lumbar disc herniation, it makes her legs weak, and even standing for 3 minutes is an enormous challenge for her. It didn’t just stop there. Apart from the discomfort of back pain, she also went through three months of physical therapy following a shoulder ligament tear, but her arm was still weak.
Interestingly, after learning and practicing a special exercise routine for more than ten days, both her back pain and arm weakness have significantly improved! Let’s take a look at how she managed to do this!
I am Lee Nae-gyeong, a student at the South Korea Haeundae Bodhi Meditation Center, and I would like to share my transformative journey. For the past few years, I have been grappling with spinal stenosis and lumbar disc herniation, which have severely affected my mobility. Walking has become a challenge, and even standing is a daunting task. The muscles from my left buttock to my thigh have become extremely tight, rendering my legs virtually unusable. Simple tasks like standing to wash dishes have become arduous endeavors, often causing me to break into a cold sweat due to the excruciating pain. This agonizing ordeal persisted for about one to two years.
Then, one day, my shoulder ligament suddenly snapped, adding to my physical distress. I underwent ligament surgery in September 2021. Despite three months of dedicated physical therapy, my arm remained weak. Whenever the doctor attempted to move my arm, it would merely hang limply, devoid of strength. The persistent discomfort had taken a toll on my sleep, leaving me tossing and turning for over two months without respite. Desperate for a solution, I decided to invest in a chair to aid in my sleep.
However, the extended periods of sitting in the chair exacerbated my preexisting conditions of lumbar disc herniation and spinal stenosis. By March 2022, I enrolled in the Energy Bagua foundation class, hoping to find some relief. From that point forward, I committed myself to walking Energy Bagua for an hour every day.
Initially, even simple household chores were beyond my capabilities, and standing for a mere three minutes was an insurmountable challenge. But on that particular day, something remarkable occurred. I found myself naturally engrossed in kitchen work and ended up spending well over an hour there. My husband, aware of my chronic back pain, was astonished to see me in the kitchen and asked if I was experiencing any discomfort. It was at that moment I realized that my back was not hurting at all. The absence of pain had gone unnoticed. Roughly estimating the time, I deduced that I had been practicing Energy Bagua for about ten days.
This newfound realization left me astounded. The person who had once struggled to walk or stand for any length of time was now capable of engaging in an hour-long Energy Bagua practice. A subsequent medical check-up further affirmed the positive changes. When the doctor exerted pressure on my arm, I could effortlessly hold it up. I regained the ability to dress myself independently, and my daily life was no longer impeded by inconvenience.
Reflecting upon my journey, I am overwhelmed with gratitude towards Grandmaster JinBodhi, whose teachings and practices have brought about this incredible transformation in my life. I express my deepest appreciation and thankfulness to him.
