Love All Sentient Beings with Compassion

Many want to become wealthy, right? Anyone? Raise your hand. Look, many just don’t want to be rich, their mental state is really different. Those who raise their hand are truly practical. Let’s try again. Who wants to be wealthy? Raise your hand. Who wants auspiciousness and wish-fulfilment? Me too. May everything go smoothly and the world be at peace. If so, I will be happy. If we want to be auspicious, have smooth sailing in all things, and be wealthy, which isn’t a sin, then we must be compassionate.
Many fortunes are obtained through compassion. If you want to be a business person in the future, please remember: Compassion brings fortune. This is part of the method or means of management. Just think, say, we can make less profit to attract more business. Right? Also, if you are in a partnership, leave more profit to your partner. We can figure out all these. What is beyond thinking is that compassion reduces harm. With less harm, even animals could deliver you money which you never thought of. Many really have no idea.
One example is not eating or killing turtles. But also any other animals, we don’t harm them and we treat them well. The turtles, they look like the ancient Chinese coins, right? Like a big round coin. But the money we use now are from paper, so what things shouldn’t we eat? A wooden bench? A beltfish? It is not like that. It is something you don’t even notice. What makes you rich could be a bird or an army of ants. When you are about to eat them but you show your sympathy and stop, you impress their whole colony. These animals say: “This human’s needs are different, Since they need money, let’s send them money.”
Loving and caring for an animal could bring you prosperity. Since you protect them, they would bring you auspiciousness. Just like dogs, they would die in a fire to save their owners. If we don’t eat or kill the animals even if we can, what they return to us will be tremendous. So, if you want to become wealthy, happy, auspicious, and wish-fulfilled, love this world and all sentient beings.
How deep can our love be towards the sentient beings? Say, something we use such as this fan, tables, chairs, or computers, don’t smash them when you are angry. Don’t kick them even when you lose your temper. We should love, protect, and revere even a blade of grass or a tree. It could be the tree you pass by daily that makes you rich. If you treat it with bad intentions, it may bring disaster to your family. Pantheism transcends our common knowledge. To pantheists, an old tree is divine. If you are nice to it, it will protect you. If you aren’t, it will harm you.
Have you heard about this? (Yes.) Loving and protecting all sentient beings is so important! In old houses may live snakes, especially those in the countryside. It may scare you just mentioning it. But usually the snakes in your house won’t hurt your family. You may have never thought about it. The snakes protect their hosts because they are living in the same place. If you are nice to them, they will protect you. There are many such true stories. Often you don’t know which of the beings you have protected has helped you. Please keep this in mind.
The stories from Buddha or bodhisattvas would be even more miraculous. I have told this story numerous times regarding a divine being. About 3 decades ago in China, there was a TV series called “Journey to the West“. They were shooting on a mountain about the Monkey King making somersaults. Doing that the actor fell off the cliff. Everyone was shocked and worried. But luckily the actor was caught by some tree branches and rescued later. Checked at the hospital, he just had bruises, no serious injuries.
There is a story behind this: His mother or grandma gave him a white porcelain Guanyin Bodhisattva Statue and said, “We can’t follow you to go filming. Here is the Guanyin statue which I have worshipped to protect you. Wherever you go, you have to offer incense, water, fruits and flowers daily.” He usually lived in a hotel nearby his work. He would take out the Guanyin statue, offer incense and leave in the morning. On the day the incident happened, that Guanyin statue which he had for several years, was found broken into pieces on the floor in the hotel room. The Guanyin Bodhisattva statue died for him.
Thus, a compassionate, loving heart invokes such an unimaginable, miraculous help and protection. Compassion allows you to obtain the unbelievable things you hoped for. A compassionate person is protected by humans and deities.
