My shoes, my hat and my robes are ragged; you all laugh at me but I wave it away with a broken fan.
Ji Gong was considered a “mad” monk because he drank and ate meat, but he was actually a living Buddha of his generation with boundless dharma power!
Why did Ji Gong “break the precepts” and appear as a mad monk?
What kind of living Buddha was Ji Gong?
In Explore the Realm of Buddha (Part 20), Grandmaster JinBodhi tells us the legendary stories of Ji Gong, the living Buddha. In history, the monk Ji Gong was also known as the monk of wine and meat.
