When the ambitious children decide their goals, their eyes and forehead are shining brightly; they become deeply motivated. If some don’t emanate radiance even when they have ambition; they are even more splendid. Have you seen the beautiful gem? Those you wear on your wrist or in a Crown. When the big rubies were dug out, they didn’t look appealing. None of them looked beautiful. When the gemstones were still sheathed, they lacked any radiance; their ugly appearance covered the inner beauty. A lot of gemstones are formed this way.

Hence, after your great ambition arises, your forehead and eyes may not emanate radiance right away; it takes time for you, the gemstone, to grow and achieve your ambitions. One day, you will be able to emanate brightness, as if the outer layer of the gemstone is ground away; a beautiful and colorful gemstone appears, crystal clear, shocking the world. As the saying goes, it never rains but it pours. This is what you need to learn: Keep your ambitions and goals to yourself, and work hard to achieve them.

One day, when you turn 30 or 35, you are able to show your abilities. Your high-school classmates won’t be on par with you, because you’ve achieved great success. They are still having fun and spending their parents’ money, but you have started hiring people to work for you, and have bought your own luxurious house. At least you don’t depend on your parents anymore. How great is that!

It takes many years to forge the sharpest swords; that is how they become extremely sharp and undefeatable. A sage yet needs 10 years of intensive cultivation; sheath your lofty aspiration. Cultivate and nurture yourself in silence; gain knowledge gradually. When it is your time to emanate your radiance, you will stand on the stage and speak out, bringing joy, comfort and knowledge to others. Then you are able to lead a team to make the world better. How great it will be.

It takes longer to forge a precious sword. Hence, never blindly praise yourself. Gain knowledge first. Don’t ask, “Why have I not achieved more after working so hard?” It is fine. To achieve bigger takes long-standing efforts; it’s wise to be patient.
