What to Do If You Encounter Chong Sha?  Learn How to Resolve and Protect Against Negative Energy

Have you ever felt inexplicably uneasy in an unfamiliar place, or experienced sleep paralysis in your dreams? After waking, you may suffer from physical discomfort, persistent high fever, or even strange illnesses that doctors cannot explain. These could be signs of being entangled by negative energy (Sha Qi). If not addressed promptly, they may affect your life and health.

So, what should you do if you’ve encountered Chong Sha? Why does it happen? What are its symptoms? How can it be resolved? This article will explain the common types and symptoms of Chong Sha, and share effective methods for dispelling and avoiding negative energy, helping you restore peace and tranquility to your body and mind.

What Is Chong Sha? Understanding Common Types of Negative Energy Clashes

The concept of Chong Sha originates from ancient Chinese Feng Shui. It refers to the disruption caused by external negative magnetic fields or energies to a person or house, resulting in a breakdown of the overall energy field, leading to imbalances in yin and yang, or disharmony among the five elements. This unstable energy can also affect a person’s mental state, fortune, and even cause physical discomfort or life difficulties.

Unlike spiritual possession, Chong Sha focuses on the changes in environmental energy fields, not just personal spiritual interference. A common example in everyday life is “Road Clash” (Lu Chong), which occurs when a road directly faces the main entrance of a house, forming a 90-degree angle. This Feng Shui setup can disrupt the stability of the home’s energy field, cause unease among the residents, and affect the health and fortune of the entire household.

Other common types of Chong Sha include:

1. Mourning Clash (Sang Sha):

Usually associated with the magnetic fields of funerals or funeral homes. Certain zodiac signs, ages, or people with special constitutions may clash with the deceased’s energy, triggering Chong Sha.

2. Celebration Clash (Xi Sha):

Occurs in celebratory events like weddings or banquets. According to traditional beliefs, pregnant women and brides may emit conflicting “celebration energy,” which can lead to discomfort.

3. Earth Clash (Tu Sha):

Often caused by construction or ground-breaking activities, potentially offending the “Earth Deity.” This especially affects infants and toddlers, causing symptoms like vomiting milk or crying at night.

4. Yin Clash (Yin Sha):

Mainly originates from mountains, cemeteries, or places where tragic events occurred, and is often caused by wandering spirits. Those with weaker energy fields are more susceptible.

5. Shock Clash (Jing Sha):

Results from severe fright, causing the soul to be disturbed or leave the body, leading to restlessness and mental confusion.

Why Does Chong Sha Happen? Understanding the Causes

The primary cause of Chong Sha is magnetic field incompatibility. The most common triggers include attending weddings or funerals, or unknowingly passing through places with “unclean” energy, such as accident sites or cemeteries. Even nearby construction work can create chaotic energies that disrupt the body and mind.

However, it’s not just external factors—internal states matter too. People who are emotionally distressed, mentally confused, or who often dwell on negative emotions are more vulnerable to being affected by negative energy. Additionally, those with weak vital energy are more susceptible to disturbances when the surrounding environment changes.

Symptoms of Being Affected by Negative Energy (Sha Qi)

Why Does It Happen? Understanding Types and Symptoms of Chong Sha

If you experience the following symptoms and medical examinations reveal no clear cause, and medication is ineffective, you may have encountered Chong Sha.

  • Mental Confusion: Easily startled, poor concentration, dull or scattered gaze.
  • Emotional Instability: Sudden mood swings, irritability, sadness, or depression.
  • Physical Abnormalities: Weakness, fatigue, pale complexion, dizziness, persistent fever, unclear thinking, with no medical explanation.
  • Sleep Problems: Oversleeping, insomnia, poor sleep quality, or sleep paralysis.
  • Frequent Nightmares: Recurring bad dreams or feeling lost in dreams and unable to return, leading to lingering unease upon waking.
  • Abnormal Reactions in Children: Repeated fever, vomiting, diarrhea, inconsolable crying, or nighttime disturbances.

Reactions Vary by Type of Chong Sha:

Different kinds of Sha Qi result in different reactions. For example, mourning clash may cause pale complexion; shock clash may cause children to cry at night. Everyone is affected differently, so early detection and appropriate resolution are key to restoring balance.

How to Resolve Chong Sha? Three Effective Solutions

Resolving Chong Sha is not difficult and should not cause undue worry. Since it stems from magnetic field disturbances, it can often be eased through spiritual practices such as the “Energy Blessing for Spirit Grounding” by Grandmaster JinBodhi. For more severe cases, folk methods or temple rituals may be used to eliminate the negative energy and restore inner peace.

1. Energy Blessing for Spirit Grounding:

This energy blessing, offered by Grandmaster JinBodhi through a video, helps dispel disturbances caused by Sha Qi. Simply watching the video with a calm heart can bring powerful blessings that clear negative energy and promote restful sleep and clarity.

2. Purification Talisman Ritual:

A folk method where a purification talisman is burned, and the ashes are dissolved in water. Using a wet towel dipped in this water to wipe the body helps remove attached negative energy. Note: The talisman must be drawn by a virtuous master from a reputable temple to be truly effective.

3. Temple Blessings and Spirit-Calming Rituals:

Praying to deities for protection helps stabilize the soul, harmonize energy fields, and restore inner peace.

How to Avoid Being Affected by Sha Qi? Five Tips to Stay Protected

Want to better protect yourself and your family? Here are five tips from Grandmaster JinBodhi:

1. Keep a Pure and Kind Heart:

Maintain positive thoughts and a kind, pure heart. Stay away from hatred, obsession, and fear. A stable mind creates a strong protective energy field.

2. Offer Light, Chant Buddha’s Name, and Do Good Deeds:

Offering light to the Buddha dispels darkness and brings protection and peace. You can offer light online through the Bodhi Meditation College website and receive blessings to dispel negative energy and cleanse past karma. Chanting the Buddha’s name sincerely brings blessings and peace to you and your family. Doing good deeds—joining chanting or meditation classes, making offerings to the Sangha and the Buddha, or sponsoring merit-generating projects—builds a strong protective energy field.

3. Wear Blessed Dharma Items:

Dharma items imbued with blessings offer powerful protection. Items like the Vajra Pestle or Dzi Beads, specially blessed by Grandmaster JinBodhi, carry magnetic energy that repels evil and protects the wearer.

4.  Making Offerings to Buddha Statues or Thangka

Respectfully placing a Buddha statue or Thangka in your home or workplace invites divine blessings and maintains peace. The Earth Store Sutra notes that offering to the Buddha images prevents calamities and illnesses.

5. Place the Bodhi Meditation Sutra Collection in Your Space:

Sutras possess strong protective energy. Grandmaster JinBodhi recommends placing the Bodhi Meditation Sutra Collection in your bedroom, office, or vehicle to dispel negative energy and ensure safety.

Bodhi Meditation | Real-Life Cases of Neutralizing Chong Sha

Case 1: Offering Light for My Mother to Drive Away Negative Energy

Shared by: Wu Yuzhi (Malaysia)

In October 2020, my 90-year-old mother fell at home. Though doctors confirmed there were no bone injuries, her blood pressure spiked to 200/100 mmHg, requiring hospitalization. She was reluctant to stay, causing a scene at the hospital, but finally agreed to stay two nights.

After being discharged, she seemed like a different person—complaining of severe back pain, unable to sleep, and even shouting my name at night while appearing to sleep restlessly.

Sometimes she cried from the pain and couldn’t bathe herself. Although doctors found nothing wrong, I suspected she had been shocked or affected by negative energy.

I made a light offering using her name. Miraculously, after the light offering, her condition improved—no more pain, got restful sleep, and she could bathe herself again. I’m grateful to the Buddhas and Grandmaster JinBodhi for restoring her peace and health!

Case 2: Bodhi Meditation Sutra Collection Protected Me from Spirit Interference

Shared by: Pei Fang (Malaysia)

In 2019, my family and I vacationed in Cameron Highlands. On the second night, I was suddenly awakened by a strange force pulling my limbs, almost as if I were being torn apart. I realized I might’ve encountered a spirit or Sha Qi.

Terrified, I grabbed the Bodhi Meditation Sutra Collection beside me and held it tightly, praying to Grandmaster for help.

Amazingly, the moment the Sutra Collection touched my body, the force vanished. I heard soft crying like a child’s, so I gently said, “Sorry for disturbing you. I’ll only stay three nights.” The crying stopped.

Since then, I always carry the sutra with me while traveling. I’m grateful for Grandmaster’s constant protection.
