I don’t think it’s a good idea to eat too much for breakfast. Think about your stomach: It’s empty and small after a night of sleep, and you stuff it with lots of food first thing in the morning. A big breakfast results in a bigger lunch and dinner. So no need to eat so much if you are not that hungry in the morning.

People usually eat a high-calorie breakfast. In Northern China, people go for fried bread sticks and soy milk. Fried bread sticks are high in calories. Soy milk is somewhat cooling in nature. Consuming both will leave you a bit heaty. So, eat moderately. For an adult male, a cup of soy milk plus one or 2 bread sticks is enough.

I don’t recommend overeating in the morning, but you shouldn’t skip breakfast either. Skipping breakfast is not good for your health.
