Cundi Guanyin Bodhisattva is a manifestation of Guanyin Bodhisattva for the salvation of human beings. In this thangka, looking dignified and grand, Cundi Guanyin Bodhisattva sits on a giant lotus which represents a pure heart and a luminous state of mind. The bright flames around the body symbolize this bodhisattva’s vow to eradicate all ignorance and darkness with wisdom and light. 

Cundi Guanyin Bodhisattva has 18 arms. Each hand of this bodhisattva holds a different dharma instrument, including a sword, axe, vajra, dharma shell, vase, dharma wheel, string of treasure beads, etc., which represent the superior wisdom and dharma power of Cundi Guanyin. On the top left and right of the thangka, celestial beings riding on clouds descend to make offerings. On the bottom right, a practitioner raises an incense burner high over his head with sincerity, paying respect. 

Cundi Guanyin is a bodhisattva who cares deeply and has a strong connection with worshipers. Because of this bodhisattva’s immense and profound merits and powerful vibration, sincere worshipers can pray for wisdom, a happy marriage, eloquence, healthy offspring, children’s success in life, longevity, cures for diseases, elimination of bad karma, release from incarceration, and protection from evil spirits and thieves. No matter what the wishes are, Cundi Guanyin Bodhisattva will fulfill them.
