“Chanting Group Practice (Part 34)” was broadcast on the actual day of the Laba Festival which was also the day that Sakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment. Grandmaster JinBodhi talked about the origins and customs of “Layue” (the twelfth lunar month), the significance of the Laba porridge and the origins of the robe made of a hundred pieces of cloth. Grandmaster also shared the story of how Buddha attained enlightenment and led everyone to chant “Chanting to Sakyamuni Buddha”. As the pandemic continues to affect the world, Grandmaster JinBodhi reminded everyone to cultivate diligently, continue to accumulate merits, perform good deeds, maintain a kind heart, speak kind words and have kind actions so as to create good karma for a more auspicious future for you and your descendants.
