In this livestream, Grandmaster JinBodhi takes us on a field trip to Canadian farms to experience the fun of picking strawberries, and learning about the seedling and cultivation process of various crops.
Westham Island Herb Farm is a fourth-generation farm with over a century of history that covers a vast area of about 131 acres. The farm grows all kinds of fruits and vegetables, with a pumpkin field for fall. There are several lovely and special small pets such as pygmy goats and Sicilian donkeys; the whole farm is well organized, clean and the beautiful scenery makes one feel relaxed and happy.
Grandmaster JinBodhi explores various flower, fruit, and vegetable plots. What are the differences in the seedling process of different types of fruits and vegetables? What kind of farming machines were used in early agricultural farming? Younger generations may not have seen them in their lifetime. For example, plow carts, tillage machines, tractors, and scythes (that are as tall as the height of a man) were used in the age of cattle farming. As technology advanced, these farming machines are now but mottled historical traces, but leave behind moving historical stories for this century-old farm.
