A former space shuttle engineer locked himself away after an argument with a co-worker. He stopped working altogether. He shut himself away for 3 years. I used some tricks to help him.
Of all the reclusive kids I meet, one out of 10 is actually a genius. There was one, a space shuttle engineer, who had graduated from a top college in the States. After an argument with a co-worker, he stopped working altogether. There’s no doubting his capabilities, but after that incident, he refused to leave his bedroom. He only stepped out for meals and toilet breaks. His parents were worried sick. He had quite the determination. He shut himself away for three years. His mom told me about him. She asked if I had a mantra that would get him out of his room. I told her mantras don’t work like that. Her son’s case was quite troublesome. She was really worried. I could see it in her face. She was in agony. He was their only child. They were always so proud of what he had achieved. The change was like falling from heaven and into hell. They kept their son’s problem a secret from relatives, but they knew and had already informed me of the situation.
I happened to be free for a couple of days, so I called them over and gave them a plan to get the young man out of his room. The plan consisted of what I call “dirty tricks”. First, cockroaches. His mom told me he fears cockroaches. I got 10 boys to catch some cockroaches and put them in a box. Then, I asked several cute girls to help lure him out. It would work for sure; guys can’t resist cute girls. When everything was ready, they headed to his place. First step, release the cockroaches into his room. He ran out of his room screaming. The girls then stopped him and invited him to karaoke. The girls had prepared for this, all dressed up really nicely. It worked, he joined them. After that, the girls said they had more fun places to go. He couldn’t resist the temptation and asked if he could go too.
The girls were really smart, and didn’t waste this chance. Through their conversations, they got him a job as a math tutor. That guy is a math genius. Look at the tricks we used: insects, luring and also reverse psychology. The girls told him of 2 boys with terrible math grades, and after lots of tutoring, their grades only improved a little. Their teacher was still unhappy. The girls implied that no one was able to save their grades. The guy couldn’t resist showing off in front of girls. He bragged about winning 3rd at the national math championship, and how he helped design a space shuttle in college. “If I can’t help him then no one can.”
“If you can help him get an A in math, you’ll get $10,000 for your efforts.”
“Consider it done.” He accepted the job.
“The little boy I mentioned is my brother, I’m worried about how the tutor will treat him, so when he studies, I’ll come along,” one girl said.
There’s no way he’d say no to that. In fact, he’d been waiting for it. Young, cute, energetic girls; how many guys could resist that? So, he got the job. Currently, he’s in the army. Pretty good ending huh? So mantras don’t work. You just need a few tricks. All mortals have greed, ignorance, arrogance, doubt and attachments. Using them in a wise way can help people as well.
