(Master, my grandma loves preserved bean curd. Preserved bean curd is high in salt; will this harm her health?)

We shouldn’t eat too much preserved vegetable, bean curd, etc., as doing so creates discomfort in our windpipe. If you have lung and windpipe issues, be careful; don’t overeat. A small cube of preserved curd is enough for 8 people. Once, I ate a third of a cube when I had a meal with fellow practitioners. I had a bad cough the next day. You’ll get tracheitis if you eat that every day. If you really want to eat preserved bean curd, eat one cube of curd in an 8- day period. This amount is for a healthy person. This bean curd isn’t like normal preserved vegetables. Eating too much might cause tracheitis.

It is not all bad, though. Apart from replenishing minerals in our body, it has enzymes that help digestion. You could also eat some other fermented soy products that contain enzymes. They don’t harm the throat that much like preserved bean curd does.
