I have a friend from Los Angeles. He has a son who is about 18 years old. A few years ago, that boy was a messed-up teen and a drug addict. He spent most of his time away from home. His life was a mess. He went home at most once a week. He came home just to take valuables to sell for quick money. He would ask his parents for money. He’d beat up his parents if they failed to hand him money.
They are immigrants from Taiwan. The boy’s parents are quite cultured and well-mannered. One day, they brought the boy to me. So, I met the boy and saw the spirit of an old granny behind him. Her hair was white and curly; she had a fleshy, square-shaped face. I described what I saw: the granny’s figure and clothes. The father was shocked and quickly knelt down. He said that the granny was his mother, who had died more than 10 years earlier. The boy, her eldest grandson, was her favorite grandson.
I told that guy that his mom was not happy. I knew because I was able to communicate with the dead. The granny was very angry with her daughter-in-law. “It is your wife,” I told that guy. “She is discontented with your wife.” His wife knelt down and apologized immediately. The granny was sick before passing away. The husband took care of his mother. The wife did nothing and blamed her husband for spending more time with his mom.
His wife didn’t take care of his mom at all. When eating delicious food and enjoying nice things, she never let the granny know. She didn’t share anything with her mom-in-law. She ordered her husband to spend as little money as possible on his mom’s funeral. At that time, the husband suffered terribly. He is a filial son. He wanted to buy the best funeral package for his mom, but he got the cheapest package to obey his wife.
There is no doubt he was sad over his mom’s passing. While we were talking, that guy was crying with his nose running. He shed lots of tears and was kowtowing nonstop. I told them their son’s bad behavior was their karmic retribution for mistreating the old granny. The living sometimes carry the emotions of the dead. In this case, the granny had her emotions carried by her favorite grandson.
The couple told me their son got angry for no reason whenever he saw them. I am not bluffing. The boy wasn’t possessed. He just got mad whenever he saw his parents. The boy was rebellious and did whatever he could to hurt the family. “You guys made a huge mistake.” “What should we do?” “First, repent for what you did. Burn some offering paper money. Try your best to correct your mistakes. Express your repentance and sincere reverence. Chant for your old, deceased parents.”
The old granny didn’t get to be reborn, she was suffering in hell. She was angry for what her son did to her. That is why the boy was so rebellious and destroying the family. “You will both witness the destruction of your family.” Destruction was imminent and certain, because their actions had enraged their ancestors. They needed to repent immediately.
They stayed up the whole night, spending 6-7 hours chanting. They were too scared to doze off. Each day they spent in chanting cooled down their son’s anger a bit. It took them 7 days of chanting to transform their son. The rebellious boy is now a university graduate. He has been totally changed for the past few years. He has been disciplined and is behaving well.
This is why treating our parents and ancestors well is important. You and your ancestors are related by blood. We wouldn’t even exist without our parents and ancestors. Bad things will happen to you if you disrespected or mistreated them. Let’s chant for our beloved parents. Let them be blessed with health, longevity, auspiciousness and luck. Let’s pray that our deceased parents are reborn in either the Eastern or Western Paradise.
