He had traveled all over the world and achieved a good reputation in the field of photography. Having reached his professional peak, he also had a happy, harmonious family. However, a minor stroke plunged him into a low point in his life. In the depth of his despair, a lecture ignited his hope in life. What rescued him from desperation and allowed him to regain health and happiness? Let’s listen to his story.

I often stay late at work. I am under a lot of pressure. It is challenging to own a company, as you have to do everything yourself. I had a mild stroke in 2015.

(Wife: He is a very responsible person at work. He didn’t wake up for 5 nights in the hospital; I was there. Suddenly I realized how much the whole family counted on him.)

I had a mild stroke on the right side of my head. It affected my left eye. My left eye couldn’t see anything. It was black. One blind eye will affect the other eye. So I lost balance and felt dizzy; I couldn’t run straight. The doctor told me that I might get better. But it was hard to say. I probably couldn’t fully recover. I was depressed hearing that. I couldn’t do anything at that time.

After I returned home, my mind went blank every day when I got up. I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t use the computer to work on the photos I had taken. After looking at the screen for 10 minutes, I had to stop due to its brightness. After closing my eyes, I felt pain. I felt awful. I did nothing except sleep and take medicine for 3 months.

(Meeting Bodhi Meditation)

Then a friend of my wife, a practitioner, changed my life. He gave me 2 tickets to the Medicine Buddha Blessing Ceremony. Before the event on November 8th, I felt dizzy again.

(Wife: When taking an MRI, the brain specialist said there still seemed to be problems left. It made him more worried. This was 2 days before we went to the dharma event.)

When I received the blessing of Grandmaster JinBodhi, my whole body relaxed, and I was not dizzy.

(Wife: His hands were shaking when Grandmaster JinBodhi was teaching and blessing. And he shed tears while sitting still. I knew that he was receiving the blessing successfully.)

I have confidence in Bodhi Meditation. Since so many people have benefited from it, I believe I will be one of them.

(Wife: When he returned to the hospital for an examination the next day, the doctor told him that the problem was gone. The blood stasis in his head had been relieved. He was so happy to hear it. That was a load off my mind. On that day, after seeing the doctor, we immediately went to PJ Bao Ling Bodhi Meditation. We signed up for an 8.5-Day Health & Happiness Retreat.)

After attending the retreat, I walked Energy Bagua every morning. In the evening, I practiced The Meditation of Greater Illumination and sitting meditation. In just 3 to 4 months, my vision recovered. Now I can say they are better than they were before I had the stroke. I can use the computer and take photos outside.

If you have poor eyesight and ride a motorcycle, you will feel dizzy; it is dangerous. Because I like riding motorcycles, we went to New Zealand as a group last November. Because I had been meditating for more than a year, and my physical strength and vision were almost recovered, I dared to take up that challenge. I rode around New Zealand for 18 days, without a single problem. That feeling was very good.

Five years ago, I went to shoot the Thangka Worship Festival; I needed to take a carriage first and get off it halfway to the top, as it couldn’t go higher. Then I had to pay someone to be lifted to the top. After a year of meditation, I climbed to Yachen Monastery at 3,800 meters above sea level. I ran to the top of the mountain, and I felt thrilled about it. Later, I ran back to the base of the mountain. In the evening, we climbed back to the top to shoot the sunset. I was fine.

(Wife: We also climbed Broga Hill in Malaysia and Sapa in Vietnam. It was a piece of cake to him, going up and down the hill.)

Walking Energy Bagua really helped me. After practicing for a year, I am fully recovered, even stronger than before I had a stroke.

(Wife: We love Energy Bagua. We practice every morning.)

It enables me to do my favorite things, such as traveling, photography and motorcycling.
