At last, she joined the chanting class and experienced a miracle on the fifth day which fixed her back pain, foot pain, and sleep problems.

Chen Meili’s Meditation Story
Tormented by pain in hip joints
I’m from Chiayi Center in Taiwan. My name is Chen Meili. My foot developed sudden problems when I was 12. At that time, I couldn’t walk. I had inflammation in my hip joint. I was told that it was periostitis, so a replacement was not possible. I had surgery to scrape off the periosteum, but the pain persisted after the operation. When I walked, I limped.
When taking the stairs, I went step by step slowly. The pain continued until I entered Bodhi, it hurt for over forty years — I was constantly in pain. It hurt even at night. The pain would wake me up, and my sleep became poor.
No more back, foot, or joint pain, sleep problems solved
I joined Bodhi Meditation in 2011. There was a chanting class. I was in that chanting class. On the first day, I was in pain. Because I’d signed up, I vowed to complete it. By the fourth day, we were taught the full prostrations.
I had a hard time doing prostrations. My knees and waist were in pain; I also had sciatica pain. I braced through. By the fifth day, we were still doing prostrations in the morning and in the afternoon. I was exhausted, and I was lying on the ground.
At that time, a wave of energy, like an electric current, swept gently over me. I realized my waist no longer hurt; it felt light when I got up. So I could continue prostrating. After that, I could prostrate for an hour every day. That’s how my feet got better.
I used to visit the third-floor Buddha hall only on the 1st and 15th, since it wasn’t convenient. Ever since I did that class, going up and down the stairs has become easy. Now my feet don’t hurt when I walk, and my hip joints don’t hurt either.
My 40-year foot pain was gone on the fifth day of the chanting class. My sleep now is incredible; I sleep so deeply that I don’t even notice earthquakes. The quality of my sleep has greatly improved.
Stronger legs through practicing Energy Bagua
In 2012, there was a chanting class in Taipei. Grandmaster JinBodhi personally led us in chanting. At that time, Master said if we want our health to recover quickly, we need to build a 100-day foundation. So, I started practicing Energy Bagua on the second floor at home. Back then, I was too lazy to get up from the chair.
If I stood, I’d quickly sit down in less than five minutes. After 100 days, I could walk three kilometers at once. I could walk to the dam at Renyi Pond, then return home; that’s three km. I walked without stopping.
Sinus allergies gone through Energy Bagua practice
My sinus allergies were gone too. Having learned such a wonderful practice, I thank Grandmaster JinBodhi. Moved by Master’s compassion and great love. I became a volunteer. I’m very grateful to Master for allowing me to still have so much energy to help others.
