Great.
The Way (Dao) gives birth to one. One gives birth to two. Two gives birth to three. Three gives birth to all things.
This has many explanations. My understanding now is this: The center is the mother’s body. Plus children on both sides, they make three.
There’s another meaning for the children on both sides. Regarding the two children, for example, left is yang and represents male, and the right side is yin representing female.
Over the four seasons of a year, typically comprised of 365 days, the average time for day and night should work out to be almost equal. For example, in the North, during the winters, the night is longer. It’s not 12 hours. It might become 16 hours or more. However, during the summers, it’s the opposite. So, in the summer, oftentimes at 3:30am, the day dawns. Therefore, I think the time for day and night, after being distributed over a year, should be almost equal.
Thus, in our family and society, the abilities, contributions and importance of men and women are equal. It’s called “each performs their own duties” and “the union of yin and yang.” This makes the world more prosperous and beautiful. Therefore, we will merge these three elements together to become one.
It’s like a long river of love, a ribbon of love running through the orbits of humanity and the cycles of life. As time passes, the river of love continuously nurtures and creates lives, and keeps lives reproducing endlessly, full of energy.
Let the long river of life flow everlastingly. May it never stop.
The name of this sand art creation is “Legacy.”
