Health Benefits:

  • The green-colored mung beans correspond to the liver; they cool excess liver heat as well as refresh the body in hot weather and remove disease-causing dampness.
  • Black beans correspond with the kidneys; they replenish kidney yin energy, cool and nourish the kidneys, promote urination, and reduce swelling.
  • Red beans correspond with the heart; they strengthen blood and nourish the heart, dispel excess heart heat, aid urination, and reduce swelling, as well as lower cholesterol, blood lipids and blood pressure, and improve blood circulation.
  • Licorice cools and detoxifies the body, nourishes the spleen and qi, prevents colds, promotes lung health, and quells coughing.

Reminders:

  1. The ratio for the beans is 1:1:1; you may adjust the serving size based on your needs.
