Chiou Rueijung | Taiwan
Chiou Rueijung was totally paralyzed because of a rarely seen autoimmune disease, acute inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (AIDP), also known as Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). The sudden severe illness caused him terrible pain; he couldn’t even turn over in bed. Like a toddler, he had to re-learn how to walk.
Fortunately, he saw a group of people walking around a tree while he was doing his daily rehabilitation exercises; that fortuitous occurrence set him on his Energy Bagua journey. He began stepping toward regaining his health. This magical method allowed him to walk again without crutches in just three months. His doctor was amazed. Let’s watch the video to find out more.
My name is Chiou Rueijung. I am 53 years old. I had a 6-cm brain tumor between my eyes. It was surgically removed on May 16, 2019. Everything was fine in the first 4 months after the surgery; I even jogged at night sometimes.
One day, I felt some pain in my calf when I was jogging. The doctor gave me an injection of muscle relaxant. When I got home, I collapsed when I was walking up to the second floor; I couldn’t walk. The next morning, I woke up and found myself totally paralyzed. I couldn’t move a muscle, and I couldn’t turn. To put it simply, I stayed in whatever position that I was put in.
The doctor said I had a condition called demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, a type of autoimmune disorder. A plasmapheresis treatment was required to remove the immune-system proteins from the blood. After the treatment, I had to work hard to regain mobility. Like a toddler, I had to learn how to walk. That is what I was going through.
I was upset and moody for 2 months. And then, I thought, for my child and family, I had to stand strong no matter what. My mom often cried when she came to visit me at the hospital. And then both of us would cry. After I was discharged, the first thing I did was put a chair in every room at home, so I could sit everywhere when I felt tired. That is what I did.
(Discovering Energy Bagua)
When I was recuperating at the park, I saw people circling trees, so I joined them. A one-hour session was too much for me; I had to take 3 or 4 breaks to catch my breath.
(When he first practiced, he needed a helper. After 2 or 3 sessions, he was able to practice on his own with the help of crutches. At first he needed to use 2 crutches. Then he could use only one crutch after practicing Energy Bagua for about 20 days.)
I was using only one crutch after my legs got stronger. After practicing for 2 or 3 months, I was able to practice without crutches. I still wear my walking aids now. The doctor told me that falling down could be dangerous. Without my walking aids, practicing gets really tiring. When I practice on my own at home, I take the walking aids off.
When my legs got better, I even cycled around Hualien. With my caretaker, we cycled to Qixingtan Beach. It took more than an hour. A 2-way trip is about 60 kilometers. Both of us were tired. Not our legs, our buttocks.
The doctor I was seeing is the head of the neurology department. He told me that in his 40 years of experience, he had never seen such a quick recovery. In terms of mindset, I am different from how I was before. I go places and help out whenever I am needed.
I am grateful to Grandmaster JinBodhi for teaching us Energy Bagua. I have confidence in Energy Bagua; I will share it with others, so that they can regain their health like I have.
