【Featured aphorisms】

  • After chanting the Six-Syllable Mantra with a pot of clean water for an hour, the pot of clean water will be full of auspicious energy.
  • Even ordinary people will attract the blessings of buddhas, bodhisattvas, and deities after touching the energy of the Six-Syllable Mantra.

At times, you may feel your house isn’t auspicious or peaceful. Try this: Light incense; then get a clean container, and fill it with clean water. Chant to the water for about an hour. Then dip a clean, leafy branch into the water. Sprinkle the blessed water around your house while chanting.

The purpose of sprinkling blessed water is to let Buddha’s auspicious power, through the 6-Syllable Mantra, comfort those sentient beings in or around your home. It is not like using rat poison to kill a mouse. This is an offering of blessed water. The water becomes blessed after an hour of chanting to it. It becomes Buddha water. The blessed water is full of energy. Sprinkling blessed water on sentient beings around your home comforts them and sends them to paradise. They won’t hide in your home or under your bed anymore. They will no longer scare you at night, because they have been sent away.

The blessed water is like sweet dew to them. Before they receive the water, they have been suffering. They stayed in your home, making you feel inauspicious. That is the reason, right? Sprinkling blessed water on them is like saving them. Having tasted the sweetness of the water, will they come back? No, they won’t. They can feel your sincerity in the mantra; they leave and won’t return.

The container should be clean; the leafy branch should be clean, without thorns. Put the container and branch on your altar; chant sincerely for an hour. Then you can sprinkle the blessed water.

You may think you are an ordinary person, and will your chanting be powerful enough? When chanting the 6-Syllable Mantra, you attract the blessings of the gods and deities. In this case, you are not alone anymore. The gods and deities are chanting now too. The chants will continue and keep repeating; you are chanting in a choir. Your chanting has drawn a choir with superpower. The power isn’t from you alone, understood? (Yes.) Such a blessing is very powerful.
